A strong, valuable organization deserves a highly-functional and beautiful website to match. How do you tell a powerful brand story while keeping your website informational and accessible?
Special Olympics Vermont is a 501(c)(3) that fosters the inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities through the power of the sport. Founded in 1971, Special Olympics Vermont serves 2,000 athletes across the state. The organization was looking for a new website that was easier to navigate while speaking to its unique audiences. The new website needed to tell the brand story while still providing relevant and valuable information to athletes, coaches, volunteers, and donors.
We developed the new Special Olympics Vermont website on the content management system Wix. Using Wix’s dynamic databases and other elements of the powerful interface, we incorporated systems to easily add and update events, automate event registration communications, create a resource library, simplify routine updates to the site, and integrate with existing tools and workflows.
This new interface allowed website users to more easily find the content they were looking for. Athletes, coaches, volunteers, and donors can search through the sections of the website that answered their questions and specific needs. Beyond the user experience, the staff experience vastly improved. Following training by our team, Special Olympics Vermont team members are fully enabled to maintain and expand the website.
