For as long as he's been in the public eye, Snoop Dogg has been known for his smoking habits, it's a part of his brand. He's been involved in some creative marketing campaigns that use his persona alone to allude to smoking—one of the most clever being his collaboration with Bic and Martha Stewart. So, when he shared on Instagram that he was "giving up smoke" this past November, everyone was talking about it.
Only 5 days later, Solo Stove shared their new "go smokeless" campaign promoting their smokeless fire pits in collaboration with Snoop Dogg. When it came out, we all sighed a collective "ohhhhhh." The collaboration used the perfect mix of celebrity endorsement, teaser language, public chatter, and a catchy tagline. The most rewarding media is always earned media and this campaign certainly stirred up a lot of conversation that, at the end of the day, gave Solo Stove some fantastic exposure. This collaboration wins a spot as one of our favorite 2023 campaigns!
